Here will be a list of things I love and therefor want to show off and recommend to you and probably also would like to own. Lately I’m obsessed with bike clothes because it is hard to be a girl and stylish yet ride my bike as much as I do.
Bike Stuff
Carradice of Britain makes lovely bicycle-related things. They’re most known for their bags, of which the Pendle saddlebag is high on my list. My expected summer commute is no less than 12.5 miles per day, 25 (full round trip) on good days, and I’d like to get my bag off my back. Can I attach it to my bike? Hope so! This may be just what I need.
I’ve also been trying to figure out how to reconcile cycling with rain, a frequent occurrence in England. Maybe a rain cape is the answer to my problem?
Swrve’s Milwaukee Hoodie. Living in England, you have to be ready for any weather. Since summer is like, a week long, more clothing is necessary more often than less clothing. Lovely.
Edit: The ES hoodies are so very, very awesome. I love it already, well worth the money.
Swrve’s women’s cotton knickers. Nice ones. Good pants, long front pockets, side phone pocket, zippered back pockets. Articulation at knees and high waist at the back. They are my friends.
Outlier’s Merino hoodie. Ugblgblglglglgg…..*drools*
Pearl Izumi’s Sugar Short. Shortest shorts perfect for shortest skirts. Just don’t get the skirt hooked on your saddle when you go to stand at the lights. Srsly need at least two of these. I can now confirm that these are, indeed, awesome. Buy some.
Cooking Stuff
Jamie Oliver’s first book: He was young, skinny, cute and totally English. I’ve recently been able to flip through this book and I totally want to own it.
I found Simon Rimmer’s book,The Accidental Vegetarian, at the East Dulwich library and, while it didn’t contain the recipe I was looking for, those it did looked so delicious I’ve added it to my list.
OXO “Good Grips” Santoku blades have been touted, I already love their products, it’s cheaper than the Wusfthoff by about $50, why not?
Mezzaluna: I hear it makes chopping herbs muuuuuuuuch faster. Supposedly works best with matching cutting board with oval divet.
Massage Stuff

I Like to Move It, Move It
Michelle Dozois’s Pilates for Dummies video is pretty awesome. She’s perky without being annoying and there are two difficulty levels.
Wedges for hands and feet are useful to help take pressure off delicate carpals when there is reason to be careful with them. I would use these because as a massage therapist, I need to be careful not to overstress the area, leading to carpal tunnel syndrome. People who type a lot should also be careful of the area.
